Rupert Brooke (3rd August 1887- 23rd April 1915)

Rupert Chawner Brooke, middle name sometimes given as 'Chaucer,' was an English poet known for his idealistic was sonnets written during the First World War, especially 'The Soldier.'

He joined the navy during the First World War but unfortunately died from an infected insect bite.
