Our Vision

Learning and Living to the Full

Jesus said, 'I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.' John 10.10

Ann Cam is an inclusive and welcoming community. We are child focused, with core values to enable us all to flourish and contribute significantly to our local community and the world God loves.

At Ann Cam we have three core values which are Respect, Friendship and Thankfulness.

Respect makes us think about Moses and the Burning Bush. Moses' thoughts were never far from the plight of his people, the Israelites, who were suffering at the hand of the cruel Egyptian king. He wished he could help his people but he was not a brave and respected leader. When he saw the burning bush, little did he realise that he would be chosen, by God, to lead the Israelites to freedom, and become a respected leader.

The school expects its pupils to show respect for each other and adults in the school community and the pupils are encouraged to value their own and other people’s belongings.

Friendship makes us think about the four friends who lowered Joshua, their paralysed friend, through the roof of a house to see Jesus. Joshua was healed by Jesus, and thanks to his friends, Joshua's life was changed forever.

The school expects its pupils to find ways of supporting other pupils, restore broken friendships and promote reconciliation.

Thankfulness makes us think of the leper who came back. Jesus was travelling towards Jerusalem when he came across a group of lepers. He didn't ignore them but stood among them and prayed for them. They were healed and rushed off to share their good news. Well, nine of them did. The tenth fell on his knees in front of Jesus and thanked him for what he had done.

The school encourages its pupils to be thankful for those things they often take for granted and encourages the children to show gratitude in practical ways.
