Welcome back Class 3!
We have a busy term ahead of us, so don't forget:
- PE kit every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
- Forest School kit every Friday
- Spellings will be tested every Wednesday morning
In Class 3 we expect all our children to become proficient readers, so we ask that they read aloud to an adult at least 3 times every week - this is a minimum we would expect, as the more your child reads, the more they will benefit. Parents and children should discuss what is happening in their reading book and make predictions about what could happen next.
Read 3 times each week for 1 house point
Read 5 times or more each week for 2 house points
Reading Records will be checked every Friday - happy reading!
Our Topic - Draw it, Paint it, Sew it
We'll be looking at the artwork of David Hockney and Janet Bolton. This term will be a messy one using pastels, paints, pencils, pens, needles, threads, fabric, buttons and beads!
Class 3 had fun during their skateboarding workshop - the children were great at supporting and encouraging their classmates to have a go at all the moves!
Cooking in Class 3
Class 3 children enjoy cooking with Mrs Dyer every Monday afternoon in our brand new kitchen! Remember to bring a container to school to take your delicious treats home in (or Mrs Dodd will eat them for you!).
Class 3 Open Afternoon
Many thanks to all the parents and carers who came along to our open afternoon. The children were so excited and loved sharing all their fabulous work with you! Due to such a positive response, we will be holding these sessions each term - we look forward to seeing you at the next one!
