Class 3 - Mrs Ball and Mrs Dodd

Welcome back Class 3!

We have a busy term ahead of us, so don't forget:

- PE kit every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday

- Forest School kit every Friday

- Spellings will be tested every Wednesday morning

Reading Challenge

In Class 3 we expect all our children to become proficient readers, so we ask that they read aloud to an adult at least 3 times every week - this is a minimum we would expect, as the more your child reads, the more they will benefit. Parents and children should discuss what is happening in their reading book and make predictions about what could happen next.

Read 3 times each week for 1 house point

Read 5 times or more each week for 2 house points

Reading Records will be checked every Friday - happy reading!

Cooking in Class 3

Class 3 children enjoy cooking with Mrs Dyer every Monday afternoon in our brand new kitchen! Remember to bring a container to school to take your delicious treats home in (or Mrs Dodd will eat them for you!).

Topic - Romans

Our topic for this term is Romans, so put on your magic time travel helmet and we'll be whisked back to Ancient Rome!

We'll find out exactly what everyday life was like - the streets of Rome, schools, shopping, and what it was like to be a soldier in the Roman Army.

We are in for a treat over the next 20 weeks as we have a talented musician coming in to our classroom to teach us how to play the ukulele!
