Fireworks Night 2009
Despite a wet start to the event, one of the best Fireworks evenings was held at the school on Thurs 5th November. The sounds and smells of sizzling bacon and sausages greated the large crowd of parents children and visitors from the village as they came through the new link doors. Also available was a delicious and warming mulled wine, hot soup, sweets and glowtubes.
Another strong entry field to the children's pumpkin competition was judged by the Headteacher. After much deliberation, tbc won the infant entry and tbc the junior entry. Thank you for all the wonderful pumpkins.
The evening finished with a spectacular firework display.
Many thanks to everyone who did a fantastic job helping out, especially those parents that manned the BBQ, sweet and drink stalls and set up and let off the fireworks, and to everyone who came along.
The takings for the evening outshone last year's great figure and after all the expenses had been paid, the PTFA raised over £550 from the event.
